Revered Chicagoland musician, Patrick "Kevin" Henry, died on June 10, 2020 at the age of 91.
Anyone who is Irish in Chicagoland knew Kevin. He was a fine caring man who loved the Auld Sod and just about everything Irish.
Fittingly, Kevin received the very first iBAM! Music Award in 2009 for his outstanding contributions to Irish music.
Another Chicagoland music legend, Jimmy Keane, says it best on his facebook page,
"I knew this day would come — as it does for everyone. Of course, I’d cherish the chance to have one more chat. One more laugh. One more learning. One more sip. One more slainte. One more ‘we know that.’ One more ‘safe home Kevin - see you next week…’
My heart goes out to dear Pauline, Maggie, Mary, Tom, Kevin Jr., all their spouses and to all the grand kids, great grand kids, and the Henry family at large. And to all of you who knew the “Piper” and were fortunate to call him friend.
May he rest in peace. Safe home Kevin…
