Bunratty Castle and Folk Park
Here visitors can visit the 15th century Bunratty Castle, Ireland most authentic and complete castle, visitors also have the opportunity to explore our 26 acres of parkland which showcases life in Irleand in the early 1900’s in a living museum experience.
Visit the thatched farmhouses and see the ladies baking bread over an open fire and churning butter; wander along the charming old-fashioned village street meeting colourful characters such as the village musician, schoolteacher and village doctor along the way. Pop into Macs Pub, a traditional Irish bar for a pint of Guinness or take a ramble through our stunning walled gardens and animal paddocks where you will meet many breeds of native Irish animals including Irish Wolfhounds, Irish Red Deer, Pigmy Goats, sheeps, Connemara ponies and more.
This day visitor attraction is typically self guided, but private guided tours are also available – pre booking essential.

In the evening time, Bunratty Castle transforms for our world renowned Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquets.
Operating for almost 60 years (60th anniversary in 2023), we invite visitors to dine at the Kings table and be entertained and enthralled by the lords and ladies of Bunratty Castle all while you dine on wholesome local food and fine wines in the unique and dramatic surrounds of this 15th fortress.
