The 14th annual Francis O'Neill Irish Arts Week Kids Day Camp will run July 24-28 at Irish American Heritage Center. Presented together by the IAHC and the Irish Music School of Chicago, the Irish Arts Kids Day Camp is a unique learning opportunity for children to immerse themselves in Irish music, language, singing, dancing and crafts. Taught by master traditional Irish musicians and other educators, kids aged 4-11 will experience the magic of Ireland hands-on!
Campers can have a blast learning all about Irish culture during this amazing week giving them access to a wide range of Irish arts learning with some of the best traditional Irish musicians and educators all while having some great summertime fun! The world-class faculty from Ireland and the US will teach a wide range of subjects introducing them to many art forms from Ireland. Campers will learn traditional Irish music on their choice of fiddle or tin whistle and all campers will have exposure to the bodhrán. In addition, campers will learn Irish songs, Lilting, Sean-nós Dancing, Body Percussion, Irish Language (Gaeilge), and Celtic Arts and Crafts.
