Popular PBS travel and music show, “Ireland with Michael” has announced that Aer Lingus, Ireland’s Airline, will feature the show as part of its inflight entertainment offerings this summer. The eight 30-minute episodes of Ireland with Michael Season #3, will be available to passengers on all Aer Lingus 15 transatlantic routes, beginning July 1st, 2023. This summer Aer Lingus will operate its largest ever North American summer schedule to date, with over 2.25 million transatlantic seats on sale across 15 routes including the restart of Hartford, CT in March, and the introduction of Cleveland Ohio on May 19, 2023. Aer Lingus has the fifth largest transatlantic hub in the world at Dublin, and key top routes (Boston, New York JFK, Chicago, and Washington D.C) will operate double-daily from the U.S. during peak summer times. The airline also operates three direct transatlantic routes from Manchester to Orlando, New York JFK, and Barbados. The Ireland with Michael T.V. series, hosted by renowned Irish tenor Michael Londra, shines a spotlight on Irish culture, music, and history through the eyes of its greatest assets, its artists. The show’s popularity and audience reach continued to grow since its U.S. debut on PBS in May 2021. To date, episodes from Seasons 1-3 have aired over 21,000 times in 48 States, and broadcast into 97% of all U.S. Households. * Season #4 will begin shooting in Ireland mid-May and will launch on PBS in Spring 2024. Ireland with Michael Season #3 also features interviews and performances with Ireland’s best-known creatives such as Darina Allen, Louis Mulcahy, Clannad, Riverdance, Tenor Gavin Ring and Aoife Scott, as well as showcasing up-andcoming talent; flautist Tiernan Courell, Sasha Terfous (Wexford Poet Laureate), traditional music band Ceól, Damian and Shauna McGeehan, harpist Úna Walsh and trad duo Shelly O’Grady and Cormac O’Hanlon.
